Mohammed bin Rashid announces decisions regarding extension of expat visas

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai have chaired a cabinet meeting where it was decided that international investors can now have 100% ownership of their companies in the country and residence visas for investors to be raised up to 10 years, and 10 years like wise for specialists of doctors and engineers and others and their families and also for the outstanding students. The UAE will remain a home for innovators and a destination for investors.

His highness also directed all concerned authorities to activate these decisions before the end of this year. Sheikh Mohammed also directed the review of the residency system to extend the residence permits for the dependents of their parents after completing their university studies to facilitate the study of their future residence in the UAE.

Ruler of Dubai sealed the announcement stating that the UAE’s open environment, tolerant values, infrastructure, and flexible legislation are the best plan to attract international investment and exceptional talent. The UAE will remain the land of opportunity, the best environment for realizing human dreams and unleashing people’s extraordinary potential.
