Abu Dhabi: 21 people evacuated after fire breaks out in villa

Abu Dhabi Civil Defense rescued and evacuated 21 people who were trapped after a fire broke out on the first floor of a villa -as part of a building divided into 9 residential units-.

Three cases of suffocation were reported due to inhalation of smoke and were transferred to the hospital.

Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the location and controlled the fire preventing it from spreading to other buildings. Investigations are still underway to determine the cause of the fire.
