Abu Dhabi: GCC man arrested in a case of defamation and insult

Abu Dhabi Court of Appeals received a case of a GCC defendant involved in a criminal case of insulting and threatening the complainant -of the same nationality- in public due to a misinterpretation of the principle of ‘freedom of expression’, without thinking of the consequences he may face later.

The victim had filed a lawsuit in which he complained that the accused insulted him and threatened him with death if he did not stay away from him.
