The festival includes a number of new and renewable events that fulfil the interests of palm trees and date lovers with the categories of the Best Dates Competition, which is marked by the participation of a large number of palm trees farmers, as well as the fruits and citrus competition. For the first time in the festival, Ajman’s farmers can take part in the Mazayna competition. There is also a cinema section that features documentaries from the UAE National Archives on dates and palm trees and the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the cultivation of palm trees, their importance and originality.

The events of the festival include organising the fruit and citrus competition to encourage local fruit production, support farmers to maintain agriculture, and give residents and visitors access to local production. The competition includes five categories: lemon basket, almond basket, mango basket, fruit basket and citrus basket. It also involves the organisation of the local and contemporary desserts competition, in addition to many lectures and educational seminars on the importance of agriculture in general and the status of palm trees in the UAE heritage, in particular.
