Dubai: Two visitors accused of stealing 1.2 million Dhs worth of jewellery

Dubai Public prosecution charged two Asian visitors, one of whom is a fugitive, with stealing jewellery and precious watches valued at 1.2 million dirhams from a GCC national’s villa after they sneaked into the empty house at night. They also used a metal hammer to break the inside door and climb into the rooms of the second floor.
The prosecution revealed that the defendants found an iron safe, which they managed to open by force, seize the jewellery, and flying it out of the country.
Case details show that Dubai police investigators and interrogators were able to identify the suspects. One of them was arrested, while the search is ongoing to find the other.
