13 criminals on trial for theft and assault in Dubai

Dubai Criminal Court has reviewed three separate cases in which 13 people of Asian and African nationalities have been charged with assault, detention, threats and theft.
In the first case, four Asians agreed to steal a site under construction and distributed the roles among themselves. They attacked the site, detained the security guard and tied him up. They also stole a mobile phone and a silver chain worth 800 dirhams. In addition to using a metal cutter to steal electrical wires from the site worth AED 10,000, and selling it for AED 3600.
In the second and third cases, nine people, and another fugitive, of Asian and African nationalities, attacked and beaten three people, paralyzed their movement and robbed them, stole cell phones, watches, ATM cards and cash money around 45,000 dirhams.
