17 African nationals on trial for kidnapping charges

Abu Dhabi Criminal Court considered the case of 17 African accused of kidnapping. On Tuesday, the court accused the 17 individuals, including a woman, of kidnapping another person.

The Public Prosecution referred the accused to the court, on charges of kidnapping the victim after they forcibly brought him into their vehicle, detained him, and took him to another area.

The defendants denied the charge against them when confronted, while their lawyer presented a defence note, in which he sought the innocence of his clients and requested the used of utmost compassion and mercy.
