Sharjah: Elderly Arab man dies in run-over accident

An elderly Arab man died instantly after sustaining injuries as a result of a run-over accident in the Emirate of Sharjah.

At 2:30PM, the operations room of Sharjah Police received a report that an accident had occurred on Al Khan Street towards Sharjah Aquarium. Police patrols and national ambulance teams immediately rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was revealed that a taxi driver ran over an Arab man who was with his children. The incident resulted in the death of the elderly man on-site, in addition to material damage to the vehicle due to the severity of the impact. The ambulance transferred the victim’s body to the hospital, and investigations are underway by competent authorities.
