WATCH: Wooden boat carrying cars and Diesel catches fire in Sharjah

Sharjah Civil Defense teams were able to control a fire that broke out on a wooden boat loaded with diesel and cars in Khalid port area, no injuries or deaths were reported due to the rapid response of the security and firefighting teams.

The Department of Civil Defense confirmed that a report was received by the Operations room at 6:44 AM stating that there was a fire incident on one of the boats in port Khalid loaded with diesel. As a result, the security and fire forces immediately moved from to the scene and the fire was successfully controlled at 7:25 AM.

No injuries were reported on the crew of 13 Asian nationals. The boat was loaded with thousands of gallons of diesel and a number of cars and tires. However, the fire was controlled in record time and prevented from spreading.
