Dubai: Passenger gets 10 years in prison for trying to smuggle Cocaine

Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a passenger who was on a transit flight in Dubai Airport to 10 years’ imprisonment for trying to smuggle Cocaine while on a trip from South America to Egypt. The man tried to smuggle 2.3 kg of cocaine inside 80 male condoms.

The accused admitted that he intended to smuggle the Cocaine into Egypt, and was also sentenced to a fine of AED 100,000.
