New speed limits on Abu Dhabi roads, here’s why

Abu Dhabi Police has announced the implementation of a regulation requiring drivers to drive at lower speeds during foggy weather and low visibility cases as of Sunday.

Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to adhere to the speed to be shown on electronic speed signs during low visibility weather such as dust or rainfall, as radars will be set to capture the cars that violate the new speed limit.

ADP also urged drivers to leave adequate safety distance during volatile weather conditions and to comply with the speed limits shown on the road signs, which alert drivers to change the speed and reduce it during these weather conditions.
