Dubai Airport: departure flights briefly suspended due to drone activity

Flights from Dubai International Airport were briefly suspended after a drone sighting, according to officials from Dubai Airports who confirmed that operations are back to normal.

An investigation is underway, and severe penalties will be in place for those who violate drone orbits.

Drone owners are also required to register with the General Civil Aviation Authority.
