Dubai: Unemployed man admits to stabbing crime

The Dubai Public Prosecution has charged a 22-year-old unemployed man of murder, after he admitted to stabbing an African man with a knife several times in different parts of his body. This happened after the victim had hit a girl -who was with the defendant- with his motorcycle after they left a night club. The defendant admitted to his crime, pointing out that he was under the influence of alcohol.

According to case details, the accused exchanged abuse with the victim, when the latter deliberately hit the girl with his motorcycle in front of a nightclub and fled. The victim was taken to the hospital. Police patrols were dispatched to the scene and arrested the defendant in a Dubai hotel.

The defendant stated that the victim was the one who took out a knife and stabbed him in the palm of his hand, but he managed to take the knife from him and attack him with several stabs. At the gathering of passers-by, the accused fled the scene but was arrested by the police.
