Man on trial after posing as a police officer to rape a woman

The Federal Supreme Court rejected the appeal made by a man who was charged with posing as a police officer for the purpose of raping a woman. The court supported the first-instance ruling of 5 years’ imprisonment and deportation from the country.

Details of the case reveal that the suspect, posing as a detective, asked the guard of the woman’s house to let him in. When he arrived at the victim’s room, he claimed that he was a detective and sexually assaulted the woman using shouting and intimidation.
