Al Ain: Man fined Dh10,000 after verbally insulting his friend

Al Ain Public Prosecution has fined a man in his 50’s AED 10,000 after he was found guilty of insulting his friend. The complainant had filed a complaint against his friend stating that he had directed an inappropriate word to him implying that he is cheap.

The incident’s details reveal that the accused had previously lent the victim an amount of AED 50,000 due to the difficult financial conditions he was going through. While the court dismissed the imprisonment sentence for the man considering his age, a friendship of more than 30 years has ended between the two.
