Ajman Police has announced that the missing teenager who was reported absent from his home in Ajman five days ago was found. The desperate mother had previously announced him missing on a local radio station.
Brigadier General Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police stated that Ajman Police, with the efforts and expertise of the Criminal Investigation Department, managed to find the 15-year-old boy who was absent from his family’s home after he was spotted near Ajman’s gold market.
Al Hamrani added that the boy said he intentionally escaped from the house and disappeared, deliberately hiding from the police and all his relatives, because he did not want to return to his home due to the family problems, pressure, and abuse he was exposed to by his family. He was therefore transferred to the Social Support Department to coordinate with his family and the police eventually returned the boy to his home safely.
Brig Abdullah called on all parents to show compassion for their children, especially those in adolescence age, stressing that patience is needed when dealing with them and that violence is never a solution.
