Mohammed bin Rashid chairs a Cabinet Meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the Cabinet Meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, during which his Highness announced the formation of the Anti-Narcotics Council headed by Saif bin Zayed.

Mohammed bin Rashid:  

• Today, I chaired a Cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, during which we decided to form a “Anti-Narcotics Control Council” headed by Saif bin Zayed. The council aims to combat narcotics smuggling and boost international cooperation, in addition to strengthening the role of federal ministries and local authorities to contribute to security institutions in seeking ways of early detection and enhancing medical, psychological, and rehabilitative treatment mechanisms for the recovered, and their integration into society.


• We adopted the National Strategy for Sports 2031, which aims to increase exercising in society to 71% of the population. In addition, it aims to improve professional athletic performance, discover talented athletes in schools, update the physical education curriculum, develop sports federations, and develop sports law.

• Assigning a team to complete a study of regulating carbon emissions in the country before it is approved in practice by the Cabinet.
