Dr. Taher Al-Buraik Al-Amiri, the official spokesman for “NCEMA”:
• We announce the controls and measures for the Eid al-Adha prayer in the UAE mosques and the preventive measures taken, including:
• The doors of the mosques will be opened for the Eid prayer after Al-Fajr prayer, while the external courtyards of the mosques will be prepared to ensure the implementation of all approved measures. External speakers will be in place in addition to physical distancing stickers, with the possibility of benefiting from the parks and public parking spaces in the vicinity of the mosques.
• The duration of prayer and sermon is only 20 minutes. Worshipers must wear masks all the time and maintain a physical distance of one meter while using a personal or single-use prayer mat.
• Gatherings and shaking hands before and after prayer in all its forms will be prohibited.
• We announce precautionary measures after returning from Hajj, which includes: Wearing a facemask, avoiding being in contact with others, or leaving the house during the first seven days after arrival, in addition to conducting a mandatory PCR test on the fourth day or when symptoms appear. The green color in Al-Hosn application will be obtained after a negative PCR result on the fourth day of arrival.
• In order to enjoy Eid Al-Adha with our family, especially the elderly, we recommend conducting a PCR test at least 72 hours before Eid to ensure everyone’s safety.
• Exchanging and distributing the sacrifice, gifts, and food is allowed, provided that it is placed in clean and sterilized bags or containers. It is strictly prohibited to deal with pedlar for slaughtering the sacrifice.
