UAE-Australia Defence Industries Forum kicks off

The UAE-Australia Defense Industries Forum, organised by the Ministry of Defence, kicked off today at the Armed Forces Officers Club.

Brigadier General Khalifa Ali Al Kaabi, Head of the Executive Department of Defence Technology and Industries at the Ministry of Defense, opened the two-day forum, which is held in collaboration with the national defence industries companies in the UAE and in coordination with the Tawazun Economic Council (Tawazun) and the Emirates Defence Companies Council.

The forum was attended by Heidi Venamore, Ambassador of Australia to the UAE, along with a number of Ministry officers.

Addressing the forum, Brigadier Al Kaabi said that the forum aims to build partnerships between the two countries, and identify joint projects in the defence field.
