Macron re-elected as France’s President

 Emmanuel Macron has been elected to a second term as French president on Sunday evening with 58 % of the vote, according to the French Ministry of the Interior.

His challenger Marine Le Pen won 42 % of the vote in an election that reportedly saw the country’s highest abstention rate in 50 years.
