During a media briefing on the details of Federal Decree-Law No. (47) of 2021 regarding the unified general rules for work in the UAE… His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation:
• The decree shall enter into force as of February 2, 2022, and its provisions shall apply to job occupants subject to the provisions of the Human Resources Law in the Federal Government, as well as to workers in the private sector.
• The new law permits contracting according to 4 types: full-time, hybrid work, part-time, and temporary work.
• The law stipulates that a non-full-time employee or a worker shall be entitled to an annual leave calculated based on the working hours or days. The conditions and duration of its entitlement shall be specified in the work contract.
