Two earthquakes recorded in Dibba Al Fujairah

National Centre of Meteorology:

Two Earthquakes were recorded in Dibba Al Fujairah today, 24/05/2021, the first was of 3.1 Magnitude on Richter scale at 04:54 AM, and the second was of 2.3 Magnitude 07:24 AM.

• The two tremors occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers. It was felt by the residents for few seconds and had no effect or damage.

• The reason for these tremors is the presence of earth faults in the region.

• It was observed that this activity ranges from light to medium and may be repeated several times during the year, and is considered a normal activity.
