Highlights of the UAE government news briefing on country’s health status

• Since the beginning of the second academic term, we have approved e-learning for the first two weeks in response to health developments and in favor of the student’s health.

• This period has been extended after ensuring that this educational model is the best to ensure the highest levels of public safety for the students and educational staff.

• The UAE is among the top countries in the world in administering vaccination against “COVID-19” thanks to the relentless efforts, which are an important step towards recovery nationwide.

• We have high flexibility and the ability to achieve a smooth transition between regular education, distance education, and hybrid learning for about 1.2 million students without interruption. This is due to the great efforts exerted to establish an effective and modern smart learning system.

Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, the spokesman of the National Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Authority:

• The UAE ranks the first globally in the distribution of daily doses during the past 7 days at a rate of 1.16 doses per 100 people and ranked fifth globally in the availability of the Covid-19 vaccine doses.

• We call on all the community members to receive the vaccine at the nearest health center in order to achieve the required targets rapidly … The best way to recover is vaccination.

• The updated national standard was prepared by more than 20 government & private entities & more than 30 experts. It explains the innovative methods gleaned from the experience of responding to the Covid19 crisis & lessons learned in the midst of the pandemic.

• The National Standard can be accessed through the official website of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority in Arabic and English.
