UAE Cabinet approves VAT refund scheme for tourists

UAE Cabinet has adopted the decision to refund the VAT to tourists by the fourth quarter of 2018.

The decision will include integrated systems with direct link between outlets and shops with the VAT refund system starting from the fourth quarter of this year.

This refund scheme is intended to keep pace with the growth of the tourism sector in the country and to strengthen its position as a global destination and hub for tourists
