Fujairah: Women’s salon accused of using surveillance cameras

The Fujairah Court of Cassation considered a women’s salon case for violating the privacy of others by placing surveillance cameras inside the salon.
The prosecution had accused one of the women’s salons of installing surveillance cameras inside the shop after a search by the municipality and an investigation with the owner of the salon.
The defense lawyer said that the surveillance cameras were installed in the reception hall and outside the shop, and no cameras were placed in the private rooms of the salon, noting that there was no communication from a specific person whose privacy was violated, and demanded the release of the accused shop owner, the case was therefore adjourned for later judgment.
