Man gets 4 years sentence for threatening to publish girl’s photos

The court of Khorfakkan, headed by Judge Ahmad Mohammed Al-Dhahnani, president of the court of first instance, sentenced a man to four years in prison followed by deportation from the country.

The details of the case reveal that the victim was an Arab girl who received a call from a person outside the country who told her that he had private pictures of her and asked her to pay money to someone in the UAE.

Shortly afterwards, the defendant called the girl and told her to meet him at a mall to receive the money. The police were able to arrest the accused, who pleaded before the court at a previous hearing of his crime, the court issued the decision to convict him.
