Abu Dhabi: Man gets 6 months imprisonment for insulting a celebrity on social media

The Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance has accused the publisher of 30 videos on the social networking application “Snap Chat”, in which he is accused of insulting one of the social media celebrities.

The court sentenced him to six months in jail and a fine of 20,000 dirhams, he will also be transferred to the competent civil court, to consider further compensation for the victim.
