The International Astronomy Center reported that most of the Islamic countries will observe the crescent moon of the month of Muharram of the year 1442 AH through the telescope only on Wednesday 19 August 2020. Hence it is expected that Thursday, August 20 will mark the New Islamic Year in most of the Islamic countries, while it is expected to start on Friday in the countries located east the Islamic world.
