A Gulf young man arrested for defacing the official currency of the UAE

Umm Al Quwain Police have arrested a young man of Gulf nationality who appeared in a video clip defacing the official currency of the United Arab Emirates on the social media and he admitted the charges against him during the investigations.

The Federal Law stipulates that whoever publishes information, with intent to make sarcasm or damage the reputation, prestige or stature of the State or any of its institutions Shall be punished by temporary imprisonment and a fine not in excess of 1 million dirhams.
