10 years in prison for smuggling drugs via soaked banknotes

Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a Gulf student to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of AED 100,000 who attempted to smuggle drugs via money consisting of 15 banknotes soaked in heroin and methamphetamine to two inmates at Al Barsha Police Station. A young man ( 23 years old) has received the same sentence for obtaining the soaked banknotes, while the third defendant (27 years old) was acquitted.
