Sharjah Police allows remote e-visits for inmates and their families

Sharjah Police’s Punitive and Correctional Establishment launched on Wednesday a new electronic platform to allow remote visual e-visits by the families of the inmates.

Brigadier Ahmed Abdulaziz Shaheil, Director of the Sharjah Police’s Punitive and Correctional Establishment, noted that this service comes in line with the nationwide precautionary measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, as it aims to protect the employees and the inmates of the establishment.

He also noted that this smart platform was launched in collaboration with Sharjah Social Service Department and Electronic Government Department to provide safe and secure communication channels between the inmate and their families.
