Abu Dhabi Police arrests a mother who tortured her child

Abu Dhabi Police arrested a mother who tortured her child due to family disputes between the mother and father and referred her to the Public Prosecution as the incident video went viral on social media.

The police explained that the incident was met with widespread condemnation from the tolerant Emirati society that rejects violence in all its forms.

The police will have zero-tolerance towards any abuse against children and will take all necessary measures in accordance with the procedures of the law.

Abu Dhabi Police also stated that the United Arab Emirates has enacted laws and legislations for children, “Wadeema’s Law” No. 3 2016, which guarantees the rights of the child from birth up to adulthood.
