Dubai: Text messages are not required to impose “Salik” fines

Dubai RTA confirms that Salik toll gate fines which are related to passing through the gates without sufficient credit in the customer’s account is a valid violation, even if the customer did not receive a notification SMS alerting for the need to recharge within the grace period.
