Sharjah Police rescued a young citizen (20 years) who suffered severe injuries in a traffic accident this afternoon as a result of excessive speed during rainy weather where his vehicle skid and collided with one of the lighting poles. The team also tried to save his colleague (21 years), but he died before arriving at the hospital.
Central Operations Room of Sharjah Police received a report at 1:30 pm, stating that a vehicle collision with a lighting pole occurred along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street.
Accordingly, all the specialized teams rushed to the accident scene and found two citizens 21 years and 20 years were in the car, where the first was transported by the air wing in Sharjah but he died due to his severe injury, while the second was transferred to Al Qasimi Hospital for treatment.
It was found during preliminary inspection that the excessive speed and lack of caution during the rainy weather resulted in the vehicle skidding and collision with one of the lighting poles in the middle of the road.
