Gulf woman accused of insulting her husband via social media

A Gulf wife appeared in Fujairah Criminal Court after being accused of insulting her husband via social media.

In detail, the husband filed a police case stating that his wife sent him an offensive message, and the report was recorded and the accused was summoned and transferred to the Public Prosecution which ordered her trial under articles related to insulting.

During the investigation, the defendant denied the charge against her, stating that her husband assaulted her and injured her and was transferred to the hospital and he took her phone and sent the message for himself because the phone was in his possession. The court set a subsequent hearing to issue the verdict.
