Gulf mother on trial accused of the death of her seven children

Dibba Fujairah court looked into a case of a gulf woman accused of mistakenly causing the death of her seven children during a fire that broke out at her home two years ago, the court decided to adjourn the verdict on the 18th of this month.

The court has accused the mother of causing the death of her seven children (four daughters, including two twin girls and three boys) aged between five and 15 years old, as a result of inhaling carbon dioxide during a fire in the house. The only door which leads to the exit was closed, therefore the children were intoxicated by the smoke and were not able to save their lives or call for help.

The mother reported to Dibba Fujairah police operation room at 5:40 am that her house was on fire while her children were inside the house. Police and Civil Defense directly rushed to the scene where they found that the seven children were dead as a result of a delayed report of the fire which made it difficult to save them.
