His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, where he approved to form a committee headed by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to follow up the implementation of the directives given to officials and delivery of promises made to citizens as laid out in the “Letter of the New Season”.
“My trust in Sheikh Mansour has no limits as he learned first-hand from Sheikh Zayed’s model that consolidated the principle of serving the nation and citizens,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
“We gave directives to the National Media Council to regulate social media and set high standards for those who defend our nation, seeking to win hearts and minds and enhancing the UAE stature at the Arab and international levels. We would devote the next cabinet session to discuss the issue of Emiratisation, which is the most important topic in our next work season,” Sheikh Mohammed added.
“We also directed the Government Communications Office in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet to monitor all live broadcasting and social media platforms and ensure that all federal agencies are responsive to citizens’ inquiries and demands.”
