The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said on Monday that tropical cyclone “Shakhti” in the Arabian Sea poses no impact on the UAE, and is expected to weaken into a tropical depression within 24 hours.
In a statement, the NCM said that the storm, currently centred in the western Arabian Sea with wind speeds of 60–70 km/h, is forecast to move southeast to east at 25–55 km/h as it weakens to a low-pressure system.
