Mohammed bin Rashid Announces Changes in the UAE Government

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced today a number of changes in the UAE Government.

Mohammed bin Rashid: After consultation and approval of the UAE President, we announce today some changes in the UAE government:

• A new Ministry of Foreign Trade has been established, with Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi appointed as its Minister.
• Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy will be renamed the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, under the leadership of Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri.

• The National Artificial Intelligence System will be appointed as an advisory member of the Cabinet, the Ministerial Development Council, and all boards of directors of federal entities and government companies, starting in January 2026. This will support decision-making in these councils, conduct immediate analyses of their decisions, provide technical advice, and enhance the efficiency of government policies adopted by these councils across all sectors.
• The world is undergoing a comprehensive restructuring: scientifically, economically, and societally. Our goal, starting today, is to prepare for the coming decades and ensure continued prosperity and a decent life for future generations.
