UAE tops DP World Tour 2025 calendar

The DP World Tour has announced that the UAE is at the top of the 2025 calendar, with five international tournaments, including three elite Rolex Series events, as well as the final qualifiers to be held in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for the second consecutive year, following the success of the new competition format.

Akram Skaik, Director General of the Emirates Golf Federation, Nawaf Abdulla, Executive Vice President for Container Terminals at DP World, and Renaid Halasa, Head of Commercial Partnership Sales, DP World, made the remarks during a dialogue session held today at Jumeirah Estates Golf Club.

The officials confirmed that the UAE will host three tournaments in the International Series, namely the Team Cup match at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort from 10-12 January 2025, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai from 16-19 January 2025, one of the elite tournaments of the Rolex Series, and the Ras Al Khaimah Championship at Al Hamra Course from 23-26 January 2025.

The UAE will also host the final qualifiers for two tournaments, both in the elite Rolex Series category: the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links from 6-9 November 2025, and the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai from 13-16 November 2025.

Overall, it promises to be another enthralling season ahead, with a minimum of 42 Race to Dubai tournaments in at least 26 different countries planned for the 2025 season.

For the second consecutive season, the schedule will comprise three distinct phases, beginning with five ‘Global Swings’ followed by the ‘Back 9’, with the season then culminating with the ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs’ in November 2025.
