Mohammed Bin Rashid approves Dubai Metro Blue Line Route

Dubai Metro Blue Line Route project was approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed announced via “X” platform, saying “We have approved the largest new project in the public transport sector in Dubai, the “Dubai Metro Blue Line Route”. “

The line will have a length of 30 km, half of which is underground, at depths of up to 70 meters. At a cost of AED 18 billion, the metro shall cover areas with a population of one million people, such as the Dubai Creek Marina, Festival City, International City, Rashidiya, Al Warqaa, Mirdif, and urban areas such as Silicon Oasis, Academic City, and others, Sheikh Mohammed added.

The new line will transport 320,000 new passengers daily, His Highness said.
