Coronavirus infections cross 423 million

More than 423,498,669 people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally, and 5,900,118 have died so far, according to Worldometer COVID-19 Data.

United States leads the world in the daily average number of new deaths reported, accounting for one in every 5 deaths reported worldwide each day, according to Reuters’ COVID Global Tracker.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
