Floods and landslides in Brazil cause over 110 casualties

The death toll in the wake of the landslides and floods that struck the city of Petropolis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has reached over 110.

According to reports, at least 13 of the victims were underage, whereas authorities managed to identify 33 of the victims. As for the number of missing people, it remains unclear.

Meanwhile, the landslides hit over 80 houses, leaving over 370 people homeless in the city, while 180 residents in high risk areas were sent to shelters in schools.
