Astronomically… April 2 marks the first day of Ramadan

Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences: It is expected that Saturday, April 2, 2022, shall mark the first day of Ramadan, and Monday, May 2, 2022, shall be the first day of Shawwal and Eid Al-Fitr.

Hours of fasting in the UAE at the beginning of the holy month will be approximately 13 hours and 40 minutes, and at the end of the month will be14 hours and 20 minutes.
