“TDRA” warns against fraudulent messages on Whatsapp

The Telecommunications and the Digital Government Regulatory Authority warns against fraudulent messages and groups on WhatsApp that offer discounts on bills and traffic violations in return for the sender to pay them on behalf of the concerned person.

Stressing that any payments must be settled through the official channels and by the concerned person directly, otherwise might be exposed to theft and fraud.
