Duo referred to “Misdemeanor court” for misappropriating AED 160,000

Dubai Public Prosecution has referred two defendants of Asian nationality to the misdemeanour court for defrauding the victim as they convinced her that they are bank employees and asked her to update her bank details so as not to be deprived of accessing any bank services.

Therefore, she provided them with all the details along with the (OTP) code, enabling them to request a loan of AED 160,000 in her name, misappropriating it and transferring it into their accounts through other two banks.
