UAQ to implement a smart system to monitor traffic violations

In embodiment of the significant role of the Ministry of Interior in preserving the drivers’ safety and spreading safety and security on the roads, Umm Al Quwain Police G.H.Q will implement the smart system to monitor traffic violations resulting from not complying with the specified safe distance between vehicles on the roads of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, as Article (52) of the UAE Traffic Law provides the following, the driver who is “not leaving safe distance between vehicles” will be fined with AED 400 and four black points with a view to reduce traffic accidents and its consequences; such as deaths, serious injuries, and loss of life and property, which some drivers cause as a result of not leaving enough distance between him and the vehicle in front of him.
