Highlights of NCEMA’s news briefing on the development of COVID-19 today

Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, the spokesman of the National Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Authority during the exceptional media briefing:

• We call on the public to adhere to wearing masks, physical distancing, and the precautionary measures set by the health authorities, especially during the holiday season, which have contributed to limiting the spread of “COVID-19”.

• In the past few days, we have observed an increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.

• We would also like to remind you of the importance of adopting periodic checks for the family to protect everyone’s health and safety, in addition to domestic workers, especially after their visits or going to official celebrations.

• We also confirm that penalties of the COVID-19 precautionary measures violations are still in effect. As the authorities monitor violations in public places, and control teams are deployed at the state level to ensure compliance with the approved laws and procedures.
