Mohammed bin Rashid chairs the last cabinet meeting in 2020

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai chaired the last cabinet meeting of 2020.

His highness tweeted: Today, I chaired the last cabinet meeting in 2020, during which we approved the establishment of a National Commission for Human Rights in the UAE. The Commission will monitor this file, enact policies and coordinate with all concerned parties internally and externally to maintain the civilized level the country has achieved.

We approved the restructuring of the Emirates Competitiveness Council headed by Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi so that the Council begins its new year in 2021 with a new vision to consolidate the UAE’s competitiveness. The UAE holds the first position in 121 key indicators in the world. We aim for a new phase of the country’s global supremacy for the next fifty.

We approved the formation of a National Entrepreneurship Council headed by Ahmed Belhoul and the membership of supporting citizen’s projects institutions.

We have approved a council to coordinate federal and local fiscal policies and an executive office within MOFAIC to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.

We approved the formation of a judicial coordination council headed by Sultan Al-Badi and adopted an executive bylaw concerning antiquities’ protection.
