Abu Dhabi Police issues a decision regarding the impoundment of vehicles in the Abu Dhabi. The decision aims to ensure that traffic safety across Abu Dhabi follows the highest road and traffic safety standards, and to reinforce the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.

The decision specifies circumstances for impoundment & the relevant fees to release impounded vehicles, which may carry a penalty of up to AED50,000. Such circumstances may include: colliding with, or damaging police vehicles, unauthorised road racing & dangerous/reckless driving.
